Meleah Angel Peter

18 year old Gwichyaa Gwich’in  Meleah Angel Peter of Gwichyaa Zhee (Fort Yukon) joined the Gwich’in  youth council because she cares for our lands, waters and animals. 

Meleah is the daughter of Walter and Arlene Peter of Fort Yukon. Grand daughter of the  late Gwich’in leader and one of the greatest warriors we were blessed with Walter Peter and wife Virgina Peter and the late honorable Howard Joseph and Clara Joseph.

Welcome Maleah we look forward to working with you to protect our homelands. 

Meleah is Miss 2021 Fort Yukon Queen. She beads, fishes and hunts worth her family.
